This guide covers everything you need to know to use Qroperty effectively, from creating your first property link to analyzing engagement data.


Getting Started

Creating Your Account

  1. Navigate to the Qroperty sign-up page
  2. Enter your email address and create a password
  3. Check your inbox for a verification email
  4. Click the verification link to activate your account
  5. Sign in to access your dashboard

Upgrading to Pro

  1. Click your profile icon in the top right
  2. Select Subscription
  3. Click Upgrade to Pro
  4. Enter your payment details
  5. Your account upgrades instantly

Adding a New Property

  1. Click + New Property from the dashboard
  2. Enter the property address
  3. Qroperty auto-generates a slug based on the address (e.g., 123-main-street)
  4. (Optional) Customize the slug to something memorable
  5. Enter the destination URL (your listing page, Zillow, Realtor.com, etc.)
  6. Click Create

Custom Slugs

Make your links memorable and brandable:

Best practices for slugs:

  • Keep them short (under 20 characters)
  • Use hyphens, not spaces
  • Make them descriptive but concise
  • Avoid special characters

Permanent IDs

Every property link has a permanent ID that never changes. This means:

  • You can update the slug anytime without breaking existing QR codes
  • Printed materials stay valid even after slug changes
  • Old links automatically redirect to the new slug

QR Codes

Generating QR Codes

QR codes are automatically generated for every property link. To access them:

  1. Open any property from your dashboard
  2. Click the QR Code tab
  3. Your QR code is displayed and ready to use

Downloading QR Codes

Choose the format that works best for your use case:

PNG Format

  • Best for: Digital use, social media, emails
  • Click Download PNG
  • Available in multiple resolutions

SVG Format

  • Best for: Print materials, large formats, professional printing
  • Click Download SVG
  • Scales infinitely without quality loss

Placement Tips:

  • Ensure adequate contrast with background
  • Leave white space (quiet zone) around the code

  1. Click any property from your dashboard
  2. Select the Analytics tab
  3. View detailed engagement data

At a Listing Appointment:

  1. Open Qroperty on your phone
  2. Tap the property
  3. Show the full-screen QR code
  4. Client scans to save the listing

Creating Links on the Go:

  1. Tap + New Property
  2. Enter address and destination
  3. QR code generates instantly
  4. Share or screenshot as needed

Account Settings

Profile Settings

  1. Click your profile icon
  2. Select Settings
  3. Update your information:
    • Display name
    • Email address
    • Password

Email Notifications

Configure which emails you receive:

  • Weekly Summary: Performance digest every Monday
  • Milestone Alerts: Notifications when properties hit scan milestones
  • Account Updates: Security and billing notifications

Password Reset

Forgot your password?

  1. Click Sign In
  2. Click Forgot Password
  3. Enter your email address
  4. Check your inbox for reset link
  5. Create a new password

Subscription Management

Viewing Your Plan

  1. Go to SettingsSubscription
  2. View current plan and usage
  3. See billing history

Upgrading

  1. Click Upgrade to Pro
  2. Enter payment details
  3. Access Pro features immediately

Downgrading

  1. Go to SettingsSubscription
  2. Click Change Plan
  3. Select Free
  4. Confirm downgrade
  5. Pro features remain until end of billing period

Note: If you have more than 5 properties, you'll need to archive some before downgrading.

Cancellation

  1. Go to SettingsSubscription
  2. Click Cancel Subscription
  3. Confirm cancellation
  4. Your data remains accessible on the Free plan

Tips & Best Practices

Maximize Engagement

  1. Place QR codes at eye level on signs and displays
  2. Add a call-to-action near the code ("Scan for details")
  3. Test every code before printing
  4. Use custom slugs that are memorable
  5. Track which placements work using analytics

Organize Your Properties

  • Archive sold properties to keep dashboard clean
  • Use consistent slug naming conventions
  • Update destination URLs when listings move

Security

  • Use a strong, unique password

Common Issues

QR Code Won't Scan

  • Ensure adequate lighting
  • Hold camera steady
  • Try from different distances
  • Check that the code isn't damaged or distorted

Link Shows Wrong Page

  • Verify destination URL in property settings
  • Clear browser cache
  • Check for typos in the URL

Analytics Not Updating

  • Data refreshes every few minutes
  • Check the date range selected
  • Ensure you're viewing the correct property

Can't Create New Property

  • Check if you've reached your plan limit
  • Upgrade to Pro for more properties
  • Archive unused properties

Q: Can I change a property's slug after creating it? A: Yes! The permanent ID ensures all existing QR codes continue to work.

Q: What happens to my links if I cancel? A: Links remain active on the Free plan. You keep up to 5 properties.

Q: Can I use Qroperty for non-real estate links? A: Qroperty is optimized for real estate, but works for any URL.

Q: Are there limits on QR code scans? A: No, scans are unlimited on all plans.

Q: Can I white-label the QR codes? A: Currently QR codes are standard format. Custom branding is on the roadmap.

Q: How long do property links stay active? A: Forever, as long as your account is active.

Q: Can I transfer a property to another user? A: Not currently, but this feature is planned.

Q: Is there an API? A: Not yet, but it's on the roadmap for team accounts.
